Jennie Flory (MInstF)

Having started her life at a school in Shropshire which was part of the original St Trinians, Jennie went on to graduate from Glasgow University as a Company Secretary.  She then spent some “happy” years in the wine trade in London as HR Director and Operations Director.

In 1986 she entered the world of fundraising having undergone training through Donors International in Big Gift Giving.  Having worked on a couple of large projects, such as the North London Hospice, which was a £5million project, she was employed by Marie Curie Cancer Care as their Regional Director for the South West.  During this time Jennie covered many areas of fundraising and was the originator of the highly successful Ladies’ Driving Challenge, which has now raised hundreds of thousands of pounds for Marie Curie.

She then joined Dorothy House Hospice Care, an independent hospice, as their first Director of Fundraising and completed her time there by accomplishing their private appeal of £2.4million in 20 months.  Since 1986 Jennie has advised many charities on ways to help themselves, put together a capital appeal, re-brand their logo and restructure their fundraising department.

In the last three years Jennie has been very involved in recruiting senior staff  for national charities as an associate of Nfp Resourcing. Jennie has been a Member of the Institute of Fundraising since 1990 and a Licentiate Member of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators. She is also an Elected Governor of Yeovil District Hospital Foundation Trust.
